Vega was fond of playing football since his early childhood days and started his football journey entering the youth ranks through Generacion Saprissa in 2009. Later, in 2012, he joined to MunicipalGrecia and played for a year with the club.
After his successful stint at MunicipalGrecia, he made his move to Deportivo Saprissa on 1st of January 2012. He was in the club for four years showing the skills of scoring 20 goals in 113 games.
