Along with Ulsan Hyundai, he won the AFC Champions League in 2012 and in 2013, Kwak lea Hwi transferred to Saudi Arabian Club, AI Shab.

In 2013, He switches to AL Hilal and helped his team to win 2015 King Cup of Champions and Saudi Super Cup.
