In July 13,  2011, Araujo began his professional career joining the senior team of Peruvian football club, Cobresol. His Torneo Descentralizado league career for Cobresol came on November 5, 2011, in a match against Universidad Cesar Vallejo.

After his impressive skills in Cobresol, he moved to the club, Sports Huancayo in 2021. For the club, Araujo made 43 appearances and managed a single goal.

On July 29, 2013, Araujo made his way to Sevian club, Red Star Belgrade signing to a four-year deal with the club. Later, on October 19, 2013, he launched his official career for Red Star against Novi Pazar. Along with the Serbian team, he won Serbian Super Liga in 2013/2014 season.

In 2014, Araujo has transferred to club Alianza Lama. So far, he still plays for the club.
