A native of Aswan, Egypt Shikabala was born on March 5, 1986. His real name is Mahmoud Abdel Razek Hassan Fadlallah belonging to the star sign of Pisces. He was born in Egypt which grants him an Egyptian nationality with mixed ethnic groups.
Shikabala was interested in playing football since his childhood days and began his football career joining the youth ranks of an Egyptian sports club Zamalek at his tender age of 10. He scored a goal in his debut game in early 2000.

A product of Zamalek SC later joined the PAOK FC in January 2005 and enjoyed a year with the club. However, after staying one season with the club, he came back to his native club Zaman in 2006/07 season and kicked his second goal contributing 1-0 victory over their opponent. Shakabala didn’t make any appearances during the 2008-09 season for the club because he was a boycott by FIFA for his wrongful shift to Zamalek.
His outstanding progress alongside his teammates led Zamalek SC to rank on the table first in the season 2010-2011. Later, he moved to Italian and signed his new deal with Italian club Napoli as a part of a loan from Zamalek SC on June 27, 2012. Similarly, he also played in a loan representing for Al Wasl for a year at the worth of $1.25 million. He opened a winning goal in his debut game for Al Wasl which register his first goal over Al-Wahda, contributing 4-1 win.
On August 27, 2015, Shikabala resigned his permanent deal with Zamalek which will keep him for next five year. So far, he is still playing for the club.

Thus so far, Shikabala has not made any international appearances for his national team. Late, in 2010, he was called up to play African Cup of Nation 2010 and participated in the single match.
In June 2018, Shikabala was included in the final list of Egypt’s 23-man squad for featuring 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
