Yotun was passionate about becoming a soccer player from his early age and began his footballer career joining the several Peruvian clubs like Circolo Sp. Italiano, Deportivo Real FC, and Sporting Cristal. These are the three clubs that he has played during his youth footballing career.
Following his youth career, he was promoted to the senior team of Sporting Cristal in 2008. Along with the team, Yotun won Toreno Descentralizado in 2012 and 2014.
During his stay at Sporting Cristal, he was sent on loan to two fellow clubs Jose Galvez FBC and Vasco da Gama.
After his successful stint at Sporting Cristal, he made his way to Swedish club, Malmo FF agreeing to a three-year deal with the club in 2015.
